Having more than 15 years of academic and mining consulting experience, Sujit has been involved with multiple mining projects in India and abroad, including operating and greenfield projects. His broad background includes design and management of mining site investigation projects, geological, structural and rockmass data gathering from field mapping and core logs, field hydrogeological data gathering, 3D geological and structural modelling, numerical geotechnical and hydrogeological modelling for mining projects.
Sujit’s international experience includes projects from Indonesia, Malaysia, Somaliland, Sudan, Tanzania, Kenya, and Oman. His commodity experience includes coal, limestone, barite, iron, and chromite.
Sujit was awarded a PhD from Jadavpur University, Kolkata. His research focused on the stability analysis of anisotropic hillslopes and assessment of post failure dynamics of debris masses.
