Leonardo Aguirre

Leonardo's professional experiences in consulting began at SRK Consulting Chile in 2012. The years prior, performed as a project manager in a construction company, during that period, he was actively involved in the development and supervision of projects in all their phases, from the proposal and design stage to the execution of the project.

Leonardo has specialized in mine closure, where he has made significant contributions to the development of several closure plans. His experience includes conducting workshops, estimating various types of costs such as Asset Retirement Obligation (ARO), Life of Mine (LOM), financial assurance, and developed Material Take-Off (MTO). In addition, he is knowledgeable in estimation models like the Standardized Reclamation Cost Estimator (SRCE), preparing closure chapters in accordance with SK-1300 and NI-43-101 standards, and supporting internal and external financial audits.

Throughout his career, Leonardo has collaborated on large-scale mine closure projects, gaining experience in United States, Chile, Argentina, Peru, and other countries around the world.

Regarding his academic background, Leonardo is an engineer graduated from the Universidad Central de Venezuela and holds a Master's in International Management from the IE Business School. His solid education and international experience have enabled him to provide a valuable perspective and a comprehensive approach to the projects he participates in.
