James Carpenter

James is a geoscientist with over 23 years of international mining experience having operated in a variety of roles including as a Competent Person for Mineral Resources, consultant, project manager, and geologist. He has a strong record in Mineral Resource estimation and geostatistical studies, independent technical review, project due diligence and deposit evaluation. As a consultant, he specialises in Mineral Resource estimation and due diligence studies, independent technical reports, technical audits, estimating metallurgical and environmental variables in conjunction with tonnes and grade estimates, training in geostatistics, sampling and quality assurance and quality control and mentoring of mine and resource geologists. James has experience in a range of commodities and deposit styles including precious metals, base metals, bulk commodities and other minerals in Australia, Asia, Africa, and the southwest Pacific seafloor.

He has assisted numerous mining and exploration companies and has been actively involved in innovative solutions to mining challenges including machine learning and digital twins. James is a Competent Person as defined in the JORC Code (2012) and Qualified Person for NI 43–101 reporting of resources for numerous commodities and deposit types. He has experience in modelling, estimating, reporting, and assessing mineral projects worldwide.
