Christoph Tuitz

Christoph is a structural geologist providing his expertise within the framework of geotechnics, exploration and resource estimation.  He is driven by geological processes-oriented thinking for interpreting complex structural settings. His expertise is in structural mapping, interpretation and analyses of structures, 3D lithological and structural modelling, and its conversion into workable mine models for underground and open pit for geotechnical purposes. Additionally, he assists exploration and resource teams with the interpretation of structural controls on ore bodies and exploration targeting.

After completing his studies at the University of Vienna, he received his doctorate in Structural Geology in the year 2012. He is a registered Professional Natural Scientist with the South African Council for Natural Scientific Professions (SACNASP) and a Member of the Geological Society of South Africa (GSSA). Christoph worked in different roles in geotechnical engineering in Austria and joined SRK South Africa in 2016 where he has created numerous 3D litho-structural models in different geological environments in Africa and the Middle East, ranging from shear-zone hosted over igneous to sedimentary deposits.
