Beatríz Labarca

Beatriz has developed and managed multiple projects in a wide range of geological environments. She is proficient in design and construction supervision of wells and piezometers, hydraulic testing, and geophysical methods applied to hydrogeology.

In the field of geotechnical engineering, she is a specialist on pore pressure in fractured media for both open pit and subsurface mining. She has worked in the definition of drainage and depressurization plans for short, medium, and long-term along with the geomechanics area. She handles topics in tunnel hydrogeology, instrumentation, etc.

She is an expert in numerical groundwater modelling for prospecting, operation, and closure of mining projects. She has expertise in hydrological data management, basin balances, hydro chemical and isotopic studies.

In environmental issues, Beatriz has developed and directed several water studies for obtaining environmental permits (Pertinencias, DIA, EIA) and sectorial permits, as well as aspects related to water rights. She is familiar with the brine extraction business in salt flats for lithium mining. She has participated in several Due Diligence, NI 43-101 investment reports, peer reviews and audits.
